The ongoing awareness program was successfully conducted in Zhemgang Dzongkhag today. The awareness and advocacy program covered the importance of digitization and relevant rules and regulations in the cable television industry and Ku band dish permits. Moreover, the team also presented on the other mandates and functions of the Authority such as licensing procedures for different types of service, Online Licensing System, Content Regulation, Journalist accreditation and Monitoring carried out by the Authority to monitor network QoS and cellular tower’s EMF radiation.
The Authority would like to thank the officiating Dzongda, Sector Heads, officials, Gup of Trong Gewog, Mangmi of Shingkhar Gewog and the Local Cable Operator of Zhemgang Dzongkhag for making their presence and for their active participation.
