On 16th June 2021, 3.00PM to 4.00PM, a video conference meeting was held with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to discuss the virtual training program assistance to the officials of Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority (BICMA). The proposed virtual training program is mainly aimed at enhancing the capacities of BICMA officials especially in the field of technical monitoring and regulation. The training programs will basically contain the learning in the field of recent developments in telecommunication, its regulations, licensing, costing and monitoring. The virtual meeting was chaired by HE Ruchira Kamboj, Ambassador of India to Bhutan and was attended by the Hon’ble Secretary, MoIC (Chairman – BICMA), Chairman -TRAI, Director – BICMA and the officials of BICMA, PPD-MoIC, TRAI, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bhutan.
