The Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority would like to remind all the Media Houses on their role keeping the citizenry abreast of the current events and raising awareness of various issues, which has a significant impact on the public’s views and way of thinking. Therefore, the Authority has issued the directives for strict compliance during the Parliamentary Elections of 2018 towards promoting free and fair parliamentary elections.
Further, the Authority would like to remind all the cable television operators and the community radio stations to strictly refrain from distributing and airing any campaigning materials or advertisement of any political party or candidate for Parliamentary Elections of 2018.
