Q. Can the Starlink kit installation be blocked by buildings and trees?
A. Your Starlink kit needs a clear view of the sky so it can stay connected with satellites as they move overhead. Starlink kit installation must be 100% unobstructed for best performance. Even small obstructions in the field of view will have a negative impact on the quality of the connection. Each dish/antenna should have a clear view of the sky from around 20° elevation (above the horizon), with a full 360° azimuth (rotation). It cannot be installed on the balcony and grounds which are usually obstructed by walls and buildings. Objects that obstruct the connection between your Starlink and the satellite, such as a tree branch, pole, or roof, will cause service interruptions.

Q. What is meant by the ROAM services?
A. This service is especially for those who travel frequently or engage in international trips around the world. Since Starlink offers high-speed internet almost anywhere across the world, it is a sort of roaming service especially when the “Roam” subscribers travel from one live Starlink market to another live Starlink market. In this package service, the Starlink connects within minutes and packs up quickly when it’s time to move to the next destination. This service is best for infrequent and individual travel with low usage and best for RVers, campers, travelers and working on the go.
Included with “Roam” Service Plan are:
- Countrywide coverage (including inland waterways and marinas) within country of account address,
- In-motion also supported,
- Ability to pause and un-pause service at any time (billing is one-month increments),
- International travel in available markets for upto 2 months per trip
- Coastal ocean coverage,
- Intended strictly for low demand, portable, non commercial-use such as camping or nomadic living,
- Ocean and aviation use is not supported with “Roam”,
- If we use Starlink Roam in a country different from the shipping address for over two months, Starlink may require the customer to update the registered address to the new location.
- If the new location is not in an authorised territory (marked available to waitlist on the Starlink Map, the service may be immediately suspended).
